Free antivirus software
We do not recommend that you rely on free Antivirus or Anti-spyware programs. Some of them are quite good and some come from major companies that also produce paid-for software. In general they have less features and do not offer comprehensive protection from all digital threats. As with many things you get what you pay for. The question is, how much to you value the data on your computer and your personal privacy? Is it worth risking all of that depending on some free software that may still leave you open to attack?
